Business writing requires a style quite different from all other writing. It needs to be very concise, very precise and univocal. Business writing requires shorter sentences, an active voice and always describes action rather than mental states. It is always written from the point of view of the company.

Most of my professional writing in Building, Construction and Home Design is for web sites and a lay readership. For that a friendly, succinct, style, even with some humour, is most appropriate. Descriptions of processes are always presented very clearly, often with formatting, such as bullet point and photographs to facilitate quick comprehension.

Both these projects required very specific writing styles to appeal to vastly different demographics.
